Advancing Protein Research to Health Professionals

The checkoff’s “Advancements in Protein Research: A Look at Protein’s Role in Optimal Health” webinar recently provided 880 registered dietitians and fitness experts with information about the latest research about protein and how to consume adequate high-quality protein for optimal health. Presenters included research nutritionists Nancy Rodriguez, PhD, RD, FACSM, University of Connecticut, and Stuart Phillips, PhD, McMaster University.

The Texas Beef Council (TBC) conducts the $1 per head national checkoff program for Texas beef producers and is also the contractor for the Beef Promotion Research Council of Texas (BPRCT), which administers the $1 per head Texas state checkoff program. TBC’s mission is to increase beef demand in the state through programs of beef promotion, research and education.
